Wonderfully Made

Psalm 139:14

Our true story is found in the part, or book, of the Bible called Psalms.

God made each and every one of us wonderfully special in our own way. And there is no one exactly like you. All of us are wonderfully made.

You may have curly hair. Or straight hair. Or you may have really long hair. So many different kinds of hair. God made them all wonderful!

But God didn’t stop with hair. He made some of us with light skin, blue eyes, and freckles. God gave some of us dark hair and green eyes. Or dark skin, brown eyes, and curly hair. All wonderful!

God made each and every one of us! He made us with curly hair, straight hair, and in between hair! He made us with green eyes, brown eyes, and blue eyes, too! God made all of us special—we are ALL wonderfully made! So, remember, God made you. And you are wonderfully made!

Bible Paraphrase: I am fearfully and wonderfully made. – Psalm 139:14, NIV

Text Truth: I am wonderfully made.

Family Devotional

Our Bible story was about something very, very special God made. You!

I am fearfully and wonderfully made. – Psalm 139:14, NIV

God made our eyes to see, ears to hear, arms to hug, and brains to think. He made all of us, and He did an awesome job!

With you family, make a list. Think about your body, and pick one thing you want to thank God for making. Maybe it’s your mouth so you can eat yummy food or your voice so you can sing songs or your curly hair or your freckles or the way you laugh. Have each family member add their favorite thing to the list.

Pray with your family. Allow any family members to pray if they wish. Acknowledge that God made the whole world. Thank God for making (say the name of every family member). Acknowledge that they are special. Thank God for your family's favorite things that God made. Read through your list and note each family member with each favorite thing. Ask God to help you never forget how special you are because God made you.
