Luke 10:25-37 Our true story comes from a book, or part, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. The Bible tells us many things. It tells us about God’s Son, Jesus. Many people listened to Jesus tell special teaching stories, called parables. Jesus sold some people a parable about a man. One day, a man was walking down a road. Suddenly, some robbers came and took all the man's things and hurt him really, really bad! The robbers ran away and left the hurt man on the side of the road. The hurt man had so many boo-boos, he needed help! Then a man came walking down the road. He was a priest. Maybe he can help! But the man didn’t stop to help. He just walked on by the hurt man. Later, another man came walking by. He was a Levite, a member of the tribe of Levi. But that man didn’t stop to help either. He just walked on by the hurt man. Then, a third man came walking by, but it was a Samaritan. The Samari

Luke 2:22-39 Our true story comes from a book, or part, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. Our story is about how Jesus gives us the power to be patient . Patience is being able to wait with a happy heart. Our story begins with a man named Simeon. Simeon loved God, and he knew that God was sending someone very special. I’ll give you a hint about the special person. God told Simeon that he would get to see this very special person. But Simeon didn’t know when this very special person was going to come. He had to be patient and wait…and wait…and wait…and wait. Simeon was so patient ! He didn’t whine like we do sometimes when we’re waiting. We say things like, “This is taking so long!” or, “When is it going to be over?” But not Simeon. He was patient . Then, one day, while Simeon was waiting, Mary and Joseph brought baby Jesus to the temple. Baby Jesus was the special person Simeon had been waiting…and waiti

John 14:27; Matthew 6:25-34 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called John. John was one of the friends and helpers of Jesus. Our true story also comes from a book of the Bible called Matthew. Matthew was one of the helpers of Jesus. Jesus was teaching some people about God. He knew people worried about things like what they were going to eat and what they were going to wear. He loved the people and didn’t want them to worry. He wanted them to have  peace . So, this is what Jesus told them. Jesus said, "Look at the birds. God takes care of them. Think about it, do birds have refrigerators in their trees? Of course not! And can birds go to the grocery store?" "No! That would be silly! And can birds just get a kid’s meal at the drive-thru? No way! Birds don’t have to do that because God takes care of them!" "And what about flowers? God made flowers with the most beautiful colors. Do you think flowers worry about what clothes t

Jesus Gives You the Power to Have Joy

Acts 16:16-34 Our story comes from a book of the Bible called Acts. That name is short for “the Acts of the Apostles.” The word "Apostle" is another word to describe a helper of Jesus. Our story is about two friends of Jesus. Their names were Paul and Silas. Paul and Silas loved Jesus and wanted everyone to know that Jesus loves them and wants to be their friend forever. There was just one, big, problem. Paul and Silas were put in jail. Being in jail is not fun. Paul and Silas could go not outside and talk with their friends. They could not go in the kitchen to eat a snack whenever they wanted. Paul and Silas had to just sit in jail. No favorite foods, no friends. It was a really sad time. But instead of being sad, Paul and Silas chose to have joy ! Paul and Silas began singing songs and praising Jesus with joy ! Paul and Silas knew that even when they were in jail, Jesus was still their friend forever. And that gave them the power to have joy ! And l

1 Corinthians; John 3:16; John 13:34 Our true Bible story comes from a part of the Bible called First Corinthians (1 Corinthians). It is the first letter that a man named Paul wrote to the followers of Jesus in the town of Corinth. Our true Bible story also comes from a part of the Bible called John. John was one of the friends and helpers of Jesus. Love! All things love begin with God, because God first loved us. And God’s love for us is amazing, wondrous, incredible, magnificent! There aren’t enough big words to tell you how big God’s wonderful love is! But this story will help show how big God’s love is! In the book of John, the Bible teaches us that God loved us so much that He gave us his Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever. And when Jesus lived on the earth, He showed us how to love others. How does Jesus love others? Well, Jesus loves all people all the time! Jesus loves people who are different than Him. Jesus loves people who have made bad choices
