You Are Important to God

Luke 12:7 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. And the word gospel means “good news!” God made everything in the whole wide world, including you! It’s true. God made you, and you are SO important to Him. In fact, you are SO important to God that He knows how many hairs are on your head. Have you ever tried to count the hairs on your head? Grab your hair and attempt this. If you have short hair, this will be even harder and funnier. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten . . . there are SO many hairs on my head! I don’t think we could ever count them all! I’ve never even thought about counting how many hairs are on my head, but God knows how many there are because I am SO important to Him. And so are wonderful you. In fact, you are important to God, no matter where you are. Are you important to God when you’re at the playground playing in the sandbox? Yes! You are impor

Acts 17:24; Psalm 46:1; Proverbs 2:6 Our true story is found in the Bible. Some is found in a part called Acts. That name is short for “the Acts of the Apostles.” The word "Apostle" is another word to describe a helper of Jesus. Some is found in a part called Psalms. The word psalm means holy song (or special song). And some is found in a part called Proverbs. A proverb is a wise truth. Our true story is about the maker of ALL people. Who do you think it is? God! That’s right. God made people, and God made us to be like Him.  But no two people are the same. Not even twins!  Some people are girls. Some are boys. Some have . . . red hair, black hair, blonde, or brown hair. God made us ALL in the most wonderful way. God created people with fingers. God gave us toes. What about our eyes? God gave us eyes, and He also gave us ears. God created people with legs and arms and a mouth and teeth! God even gave us a brain to think. Incredible, right? God is amazing, and God made us to b

Genesis 1:26; Psalm 139:14 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Genesis. The word genesis means “the beginning.” Our true story also comes from a part of the Bible called Psalms. The word psalm means holy song or special song. Remember that the Bible is God’s word to us, and it is true. The Bible begins by telling us how God made everything. God made the grass and the trees and the sky and the sun. But that’s not all! God made the most wonderful thing of all—YOU! God made every single part of your body. Every single part.  What part of the body helps you see? That’s right. Your eyes! God made our eyes. We can use our eyes to see all the beautiful things God made.  God also made something that we use to hear. What part of the body helps you hear? That’s right! Our ears. God made our ears. We use our ears to hear all kinds of things! What sounds do you hear at the beach? I love to hear the waves and the seagulls. What sounds might you hear in at a park? Yes, you would pro

God Made You

Genesis 1 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Genesis. The word genesis means “the beginning. God is SO creative that He made everything! God made the big open sky. God made the sun and the moon and the stars, too! God made the giant oceans and small ponds.  God made mountains and trees and flowers. God made all the birds. God made the fish.  God made eagles and elephants. God made peacocks with beautiful feathers and bears that growl! God made everything! And after making everything, God made the very best thing of all. Do you want to know what it is? The very best thing that God made was . . . people. God made people! Every person in the whole wide world was made by God. Your mom. Your dad. Your brother. Your sister. Your aunt. Your friend. Your neighbor. And the lady at the library. That also means that God made . . . YOU! God made you wonderful. You are God’s amazing work of art. God made itty bitty bugs and tiny blades of grass . . . And God made YOU! God made the
