Jesus' Great Commission

Matthew 28:19-20 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Matthew. Matthew was one of the helpers of Jesus. Our story is about Jesus and His friends. Jesus died and came back, just like He said He would. Jesus’ friends knew that Jesus is alive because they saw Him and talked with Him and even ate breakfast with Him on the beach! One day, Jesus told His friends to meet Him on a mountain. Jesus’ friends did what He said and they met Him on a mountain. When they were on the mountain together, Jesus told His friends He had a very important job for them to do. It’s an important job He wants US to do, too. Jesus said our important job is to tell EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE, that Jesus is alive and we can follow Him! That is a very important job! Do you think you can do it? Sure you can! You can tell your family, "Jesus is alive and we can follow Him!" You can tell your neighbors, "Jesus is alive and we can follow Him!" You can tell you

John 21:1-14 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called John. John was one of the friends and helpers of Jesus. Our story is about what happened after Easter. Easter started out sad because Jesus died and was put in a tomb. But did Jesus stay there? Nooo! Jesus came back, just like He said He would. Jesus is alive! Not long after that, some of Jesus’ friends were fishing. While they were fishing, they saw someone standing on the beach. Who do you think it was? Jesus! He was standing on the beach. Jesus is alive! And they were so excited to see Him. Jesus told His friends to come have breakfast with Him. And they did. Jesus’ friends sat with Him around the fire where He was cooking some fish and bread. Jesus was alive. And He was sitting right there cooking fish! They were so happy to be with their good friend Jesus again. They knew that Jesus loved them and that He would always be their friend—for ever and ever! Jesus loves YOU, too! Jesus loves

Matthew 26:20-50; 27:1-2; 28:1-7 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Matthew. Matthew was one of the helpers of Jesus. Our story is the true story of Easter! Some call this day Resurrection Sunday. Here is why we celebrate with pretty clothes and yummy food and candy and family and all the fun! The true story begins with God's love for us. Because God loves you SO much! God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever. But first, something sad had to happen. One night, Jesus was having dinner with His friends. While they were eating, Jesus told His friends He would go away soon and then come back. After dinner, Jesus went to pray in a garden. While Jesus was in the garden, some angry people came and took Jesus away. The angry people hurt Jesus so bad that He died. All of Jesus’ friends were so very sad. Then Jesus’ friends put His body in a tomb with a big stone in front of it. Three sad days went by.

Matthew 21:1-11, 15-16 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Matthew. Matthew was one of the special helpers of Jesus. Our story is about a special day we call Palm Sunday. It started in a town called Jerusalem. But before it was Palm Sunday, it was like any other Sunday. The people in Jerusalem were all going about their normal day until someone said, "Hey! Jesus is coming!" That changed everything. They were so excited! The people had heard about Jesus and that He could do anything. They heard that Jesus could make a storm stop by just saying, "Stop!" They heard that Jesus could make sick people all better. They heard that Jesus could feed A LOT of people with only a little bit of food. Jesus is so special! And if He was coming to town, then the people needed to do something special to celebrate Him. Do you know what they did? The people cut palm branches from trees and laid them on the road. Other people took their coats
