Luke 1:26-33, 38, 46; 2:1-18 Our true story comes from the Bible. It is in the part, or book, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know Jesus and love Him, too. Our Bible story is the story of Christmas. God sent an angel to Nazareth to give Mary a special message. The angel told Mary that she was going to have a baby and His name would be Jesus. Jesus would be special because Jesus is God’s Son. After the angel told Mary she was going to have a special baby, she and Joseph traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem. When they got to Bethlehem, there was no room for them to sleep. So, even though Jesus would be the most special baby ever, He was born in a stable filled with animals and hay. The Bible tells us of an angel who went to tell the shepherds the good news that God’s Son, Jesus, had been born. One night, while shepherds were watching their sheep, an angel told them, "I have good news for all the people. Jesus has bee

Luke 2:6-18 Our true story comes from the Bible. It is in the part, or book, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. The Bible tells us that when Jesus was born, angels appeared to announce Jesus’ birthday. That night, there were shepherds out in the fields near that town of Bethlehem, watching their sheep. Suddenly the sky was filled with light. An angel appeared to them! There was light shining all around the angel. At first the shepherds were afraid. They didn’t know what to think. The angel said, “Don’t be afraid. I have good news! God’s Son, Jesus, was born today in Bethlehem. He is Christ the Lord. Go find Him! He is a little baby wrapped in cloths and sleeping in a manger.” Then the whole sky was filled with angels praising God, saying, “Glory to God in the highest! And peace to those God is pleased with on earth!” The shepherds were excited that Jesus was God's Son. After the angles left, the shepher

Luke 2:1-7 Our true story comes from the Bible. It is in the part, or book, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wrote about Him so that others could know Jesus and love Jesus, too. A new law was made by Roman Emperor Caesar August. Emperor is another word for king. Everyone in the Roman world had to put their name on a list. All the people had to go to their home town (the place where they were born and grew up). So, Mary and Joseph traveled to a small town named Bethlehem, the town of the family of David. Joseph belonged to the family of David, the shepherd boy who became a king. Mary and Joseph were very tired. They had traveled for many days. Bible people often walked or rode on donkeys when they traveled. Joseph probably walked. And Mary probably rode on a donkey because she was going to have a baby. Ka-plod, ka-plod. Ka-plod, ka- plod. Finally, they reached Bethlehem. Now they could find a place to rest. Joseph looked for a place where they could sta

Luke 1:26-33, 38, 46 Our true story comes from the Bible. It is in the part, or book, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know Jesus and love Him, too. A young girl named Mary lived in a small town called Nazareth. Mary was excited. She was engaged to Joseph. They were going to get married. But one day, something even more exciting happened! God sent an angel, whose name was Gabriel, to give a message to Mary. Mary had never seen and angel before, and she was afraid. But the angel said, “Do not be afraid, Mary. God sent me to tell you that you are going to have a baby. His name will be Jesus. He will be very special because…Jesus is God’s Son! After the angel left Mary, she was so excited that she went to see her family. Mary told the good news to Joseph. And Mary told the good news to her cousin, Elizabeth. Mary and her family were happy to hear the good news about Jesus. They were excited to known that Jes
