Genesis 1:3-8 Our true story comes from a book, or part, of the Bible called Genesis. The word genesis means “the beginning.” Have you ever looked around and wondered who made everything? All the trees, the seashells, the pets, the yummy foods, your friends and family? Our Bible story is all about who made everything. And the Who is God. God made everything! But let's go way back to the beginning—before there was a world or people or anything. In the very beginning, there was nothing but God. So, God decided to make something—A LOT of somethings! God said, "Let there be light!" And there was light. When God saw the light, He said, "That’s good!" Then God separated the light from the darkness. He called the light day and God called the darkness night. Light and dark was day one of God making the world. On day two, God said, "Let’s take water and put some way down low. And let’s put the sky way up high." Then God saw what He

Acts 2:45; Luke 12:16-21 Our true story comes from a book, or part, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. Our story also comes from a book of the Bible called Acts. That name is short for “the Acts of the Apostles.” The word "Apostle" is another word to describe a helper of Jesus. One day, a man asked Jesus about having and sharing. Jesus taught the man by telling a story. This story was about a farmer. This farmer grew a LOT of food. He grew more food than he had ever grown! More food than he and his family could ever eat! When the food stopped growing, the farmer had to choose what he would do with all the food. What would the farmer do? The farmer decided what to do. He would build some really big barns, put all the food in them, and keep ALL the food for himself. The farmer thought that once he had all the food, he would never worry about anything ever again. But does

Matthew 7:24-27 Our true story comes from a book, or part, of the Bible called Matthew. Matthew was one of the helpers of Jesus. Jesus told a story one day when He was teaching people about God. This story that Jesus told is about houses. But Jesus told this story to teach us a lesson about how to live. In this story, one man built his house on the sand. The other man built his house on the rock. Both of these houses looked great until it started to rain. The rain began to fall harder and harder and harder. Finally, the rain stopped! And what happened to the house built on the sand? All that water washed the sand away, so the house fell down And guess what happened to the house built on the rock. The house stood strong! The water couldn’t wash the rock away. So which man made the wise choice: the man who built his house on the sand or the man who built his house on the rock? That’s right! The man who built his house on the rock! Jesus told

John 3:16 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called John. John was one of the friends and helpers of Jesus. The Bible is worth more than thousands and thousands of pieces of gold. Because the Bible is full of words from God! Our Bible story is about a baby. Not just any baby—a very special baby. His name is Jesus! Jesus is special because Jesus is God's Son. God loved us SO much He sent us His Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever. When Jesus grew up... ...He did amazing things that only He can do. And Jesus taught us how to live God’s way. Then the Bible says there was a very sad day. Jesus died and was buried in a tomb. It was so, so sad. But the Bible says that Jesus had promised to come back! After three days, Jesus came back to be our friend forever. Jesus is alive! He will always, always be with us. God loves us so much! And He showed us just how much He loves us by sending Jesus to be our friend FOREVER. The

Psalm 119:72; Jeremiah 31:3 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Psalms. The word psalm means holy song (or special song). Our story also comes from a part of the Bible called Jeremiah, named after a man who loved God and told people about God so that they could love Him, too. There’s a verse in the Bible that says that God’s Word is worth more to me than gold. And not just one piece of gold. The Bible is worth more than thousands and thousands of pieces of gold! Do you know why? Because the Bible is full of words from God! God’s Word tells us that He loves us SO much! God loves us when we’re happy. And God loves us when we’re sad. God loves us when we’re scared. And God loves us when we’re mad. Whether we’re happy or sad, scared or mad, God loves us. The Bible tells us that God loves us ALL the time. When you have a choice to make and you don’t know where to go or what to do, the Bible helps you. Do you want to learn how to be a good friend? Th
