The Bible Teaches God Loves so Much He Gave Jesus

John 3:16

Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called John. John was one of the friends and helpers of Jesus.

The Bible is worth more than thousands and thousands of pieces of gold. Because the Bible is full of words from God!


Our Bible story is about a baby. Not just any baby—a very special baby. His name is Jesus! Jesus is special because Jesus is God's Son.


God loved us SO much He sent us His Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever.


When Jesus grew up...


...He did amazing things that only He can do.


And Jesus taught us how to live God’s way.


Then the Bible says there was a very sad day.


Jesus died and was buried in a tomb. It was so, so sad.


But the Bible says that Jesus had promised to come back! After three days, Jesus came back to be our friend forever.


Jesus is alive! He will always, always be with us.


God loves us so much! And He showed us just how much He loves us by sending Jesus to be our friend FOREVER. The Bible really is better than gold. It tells us all about God’s love and how He gave us Jesus to be our friend forever.

Family Devotional

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. — John 3:16

Our Bible story was about something else that makes the Bible better than gold. We learned that God loves us so much that He gave us someone very special to be our friend forever.

Who did God give us to be our friend forever? Yes! Jesus! God loved you so much that He gave you Jesus to be your friend forever. Now that makes the Bible better than gold, because it teaches us things that are better than gold!

With your family, make a list of your fiends. Then write Jesus' name at the top because Jesus is the best friend you will ever have. Jesus is the best because Jesus wants to be our friend forever.

Pray with your family. Allow any family members to pray if they wish. Thank god for friends. And thank God that you can play with them and laugh with them and eat with them. Thank God for (read through your list). And thank God for loving you so much that He gave you His Son, Jesus to be your friend forever. Acknowledge to God your love for him.
