Acts 10 WATCH VIDEO Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Acts, which is short for “the Acts of the Apostles.” An apostle is someone who is sent to teach others about Jesus. We begin with a man named Peter. Peter was a fisherman. That means he would get in a boat, go out on the water, and catch fish. Peter believed in Jesus, because Peter saw with his own eyes that Jesus is alive.  One day, Jesus told Peter and His other friends that He would come back again. Until then, He wanted them to tell everyone, everywhere, "Jesus is alive!" "Jesus loves you!" And, "Jesus wants to be your friend forever!" After Jesus gave His friends this special job, He left and went to heaven.  Jesus’ friends told everyone, everywhere, "Jesus is alive!" "Jesus loves you!" And, "Jesus wants to be your friend forever!" Then, one day, some men who were different than Peter knocked on his door. The men asked Peter to come to their house an

Acts 9:1-20 WATCH VIDEO Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Acts. That name is short for “the Acts of the Apostles.” An apostle is someone who is sent to teach others about Jesus. We’ve talked about how Jesus grew up to help sick people, love everyone, and do AMAZING things that only He can do. We’ve talked about how Jesus died, but on the third day, the stone was rolled away! Jesus came back! Jesus is alive! After Jesus came back, He went to see His friends so they could see that He is alive. They told people Jesus is alive and wrote down that Jesus is alive, so everyone, everywhere  could believe that Jesus is live! But . . . not everyone believed Jesus is alive. One of the people who didn’t believe was a man named Paul. Paul grew up believing you had to follow a lot of rules if you loved God. I mean A LOT of rules!  One day, Paul heard people say that Jesus taught a brand-new rule. Not a lot of rules, just one rule. Jesus’ one rule was: Love each other the way I hav

Matthew 26—28; John 21:1-14 WATCH VIDEO Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospels. The word "Gospel" means "good news!" Our story is found in the Gospels written by Matthew and John. Both Matthew and John were disciples of Jesus. That means Jesus was their teacher. Our story is about someone very special who did something only He can do. Do you know who it is? Jesus is the very special person. God sent His Son, Jesus, to show us how to love each other and to be our friend forever.  Jesus taught us how to love each other by being a good friend.  Jesus loves everyone, and He was a good friend to people who were different than Him.  Jesus was a good friend to everyone—even when people made wrong choices. Here is the most amazing thing Jesus did that only He can do. One day, a very sad thing happened. Some angry people took Jesus away and hurt Him so badly that He died.  Jesus’ friends buried Him in a tomb and rolled a big stone in front of it. Je

The Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) WATCH VIDEO Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospels. The word "Gospel" means "good news!"  God sent an angel to a woman named Mary. The angel had a very special message: Mary was going to have a baby boy. The baby’s name would be Jesus. Jesus is very special, because Jesus is God’s Son.  After Mary learned she was going to have a baby, she and Joseph had to travel to a city called Bethlehem. When Mary and Joseph got to Bethlehem, they had to stay in a stable where animals lived. They rested and waited for baby Jesus to be born.  Then, it happened! Jesus was born! Mary wrapped baby Jesus in a blanket and laid him in a manger.  Before long, Jesus grew up to be a big boy... ...and then a grown man!  When Jesus was a man, He did amazing things that only He can do! Jesus told a thunderstorm to stop, and it stopped!  Jesus made sick people better. He even fed over 5,000 people with just a few pieces of b
