Matthew 2:1-2, 9-11 Our story comes from the Bible. It is found in the book, or part, of the Bible called Matthew. Matthew was one of the special helpers of Jesus. Our Bible story is about a star. But not just any star—this star was very special. The special star that God made was different than all the other stars. It was very, very, VERY special. And God made it to point to someone very, very, VERY important. One night, far away, some wise men saw the special star God made in the sky, and they knew they should follow it. The wise men followed and followed and followed the special star. The star stopped over a house. So the wise men stopped and went to the house. God used the special star to show the wise men where to find Jesus! When they saw Him, they knew He was the one God sent to show how much He loves everyone. The wise men bowed down and worshiped Jesus and gave Him their very best gifts. The wise men celebrated that God gave us Jesus. We know God loves

Luke 1:26-33, 38, 46-49; Luke 2:1-20 Our true story comes from the Bible. It is in the part, or book, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. The true story of Christmas begins with a young woman named Mary. God sent an angel to a town called Nazareth, to tell a young woman named Mary that she was going to have a special baby. Mary would have a baby boy and His name would be Jesus. Mary and Joseph had to travel all the way from Nazareth to Bethlehem, and that’s where the special baby was born. But there were no more rooms left in the town. Someone let them sleep in a stable where they kept their animals. And that is where the special baby was born. Then something else amazing happened! That night, there were shepherds out in a field watching over their sheep. Suddenly, they saw an angel! The angel told them that Jesus had been born! Then lots of angels filled the sky singing and praising God because God’s Son

There were some shepherds out in a field taking care of a certain kind of animal. Do you think the shepherds were taking care of elephants? No. Do you think the shepherds were taking care of penguins? No. What were the shepherds watching in the fields? Yes, the shepherds were watching sheep! While these shepherds were watching their sheep, an angel came to talk to them. The angel said, "I bring you good news of great joy! JESUS IS BORN!" Then suddenly, the whole sky was full of angels singing and prai

Luke 2:1-7 Our true story comes from the Bible. It is in the part, or book, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. God sent an angel to a town called Nazareth, to tell a young woman named Mary that she was going to have a special baby. Mary would have a baby boy and His name would be Jesus. But Mary and Joseph needed to travel from Nazareth, all the way to a town called Bethlehem to be counted. This was because of a new law made by Roman Emperor Caesar August. Emperor is another word for king. It would be very hard for Mary to walk all the way to Bethlehem, especially since she was going to have a baby. Do you think Mary rode in a car all the way to Bethlehem? No, they didn't have cars. Do you think Mary rode in an airplane? No, they didn't have airplanes. Do you think Mary rode on a donkey all the way to Bethlehem? Yes, she probably rode a donkey! When Mary and Joseph got to Bethlehem, they needed to find a
