You Are Important to God

Luke 12:7; John 3:16

You are important to God. You are so important to Him that He knows all about you.


Touch your hair. How many do you think are on your head? Try to count your hair. There are a lot! Do you know who knows how many hairs are on your head? God! The Bible says you are so important to God that He knows everything about you.


You are so important to God that He knows what you had for breakfast.


He knows your favorite toy. If you like to ride a bike, He knows.


If you like to play with dolls, He knows.


If you like to play with blocks, He knows! You are so important to God that He cares about every single thing about you.


The Bible says God loves you so much that He sent His one and only Son, Jesus, to be your friend forever. We are important to God because God made us.



Bible Paraphrase: I am fearfully and wonderfully made. – Psalm 139:14, NIV

Text Truth: I am important to God.

Family Devotional

“Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” – Luke 12:7

 Our Bible story was about how you are important to God. God made you. That makes you very important to Him. And God did a wonderful job making you. Our Bible verse says so. 
I am fearfully and wonderfully made. – Psalm 139:14, NIV

We are important to God. We are so important to God He even knows how many hairs are on our heads! We are so important to God that He sent His Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever.

 With your family, make a list of your names. Write down the name of every family member.

 Pray with your family. Allow any family members to pray if they wish. Thank God for making each member of your family: "Dear God, thank You for making (name of family member)." Ask God to help each family member know how important they are to God. Acknowledge that God loves each of them so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to be their friend forever.

Genesis 12:1-9 Our story comes from the book, or part, of the Bible called Genesis. Genesis means "the beginning." A man and woman lived in a land called Ur. The man was named Abram and the woman was named Sarai. Abram and Sarai were husband and wife. God called Abram and Sarai and gave them new names! Genesis 26:12-25 Take-Home Our story comes from the book, or part, of the Bible called Genesis. Genesis means "the beginning." The Bible tells us about a man named Isaac. God gave Isaac lots of land. God blessed Isaac by helping him have many animals and servants. When the animals needed water to drink, Isaac and his helpers took them to a well.
