Greatest Verse Ever

John 3:16

Our true story is found in at part of the Bible called the Gospel of John. John was one of the friends and helpers of Jesus. And the word "Gospel" means "good news!"

Do you know what this is? Yes! It’s a heart! And our true story begins with God’s LOVE for you.

Do you know how much God loves you? Stretch your hands out as wide as you can! God loves you SO much that you can't even spread your arms wide enough to show it. Yes! God’s love for us is so, SO big!

Do you know what this is? It’s Earth. Where we live. It’s full of millions and millions of people. And God loves each and every one of them! You could live ANYWHERE on Earth, and God would love you because God loves EVERYONE in the whole, wide world!

But how do we know God loves us? It’s because God gave us a gift! God loves us so much that He gave us a very special gift! The best gift of all! Are you ready to hear what the gift was?

The gift was . . . JESUS! Yes! Jesus is the most special gift EVER. Jesus is God’s Son, and He came to be our friend forever!

Okay, let’s put it all together. God LOVED the WORLD so much that He GAVE us JESUS.
Say it, again. God LOVED the WORLD so much that He GAVE us JESUS. Say it, again! God LOVED the WORLD so much that He GAVE us JESUS.

We can trust that God loves us, because God gave us the best gift ever. God gave us Jesus to be our friend forever! I can trust God, and you can trust God.

Bible Paraphrase: I trust in God. I am not afraid. Psalm 56:11, NIrV

Text Truth: We can trust God’s plan.

Family Devotional

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
—John 3:16

Our Bible story was about a very special baby who grew up to do amazing things that only He can do. Who is the special baby God gave us? Jesus! And because God loves us so much He gave us Jesus, we can totally trust Him!

I trust in God. I am not afraid. —Psalm 56:11, NIrV

With your family, make a list your favorite gifts you have ever been given. Maybe your favorite gift was a toy or clothes or something yummy to eat.

Pray with your family. Allow any family members to pray if they wish. In your own words, say, “Dear God, thank You for allowing us to get such wonderful gifts like (read the list your family made). These gifts are so fun and special. And thank You for giving us the best gift ever, Your Son, Jesus. Help us remember how much You love us so we will always trust You. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
