God Made the World with Wisdom and Love

Genesis 1:26–27; Psalm 28:7; Psalm 104:24; Psalm 121:2; Proverbs 2:6; Acts 17:24

Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Genesis. The word genesis means “the beginning.” Our true also story comes from a part of the Bible called Psalms. The word psalm means holy song or special song. Our true also story comes from a part of the Bible called Proverbs. A proverb is a wise truth.

A long time ago, before anything was made, God was there. God is very wise—He knows everything! And God is very strong—He can do anything!

God made the whole world with His wisdom. He made the sky and the sea. He made the sun and the stars. He made animals and birds and fish. God made so many amazing things!

Then God made people. He made a man and a woman, and He made them to be like Him in special ways. They could think, make choices, love, and take care of what God made. That means you’re special too—because you are made by God!

The Bible says, “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” That means the same God who made everything also helps us every day!

When we look around and see flowers, trees, clouds, and animals, we can remember: God is wise and good. He made everything, and He loves us.

God made everything with love and wisdom—including you! He is strong, smart, and always ready to help you.

Dear God,

Thank You for making the world so beautiful and amazing. Thank You for making me and loving me. You are so wise and strong, and You help me every day. Help me to remember that I am special because You made me. We love You, God.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Bible Verse: “Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children, and walk in love, just as Christ loved us.” — Ephesians 5:1-2a, BSB

Paraphrase: “You are God’s child. Show love like Jesus did.”

Activities

These activities help preschoolers engage with the story through movement, crafts, music, and storytelling, making the lesson fun and memorable.

1. God Made It All! (Exploration Activity)

Objective: Discover God's wonderful creation.

Materials: Nature items (leaves, rocks, flowers), or pictures of animals, stars, and oceans.

Activity: Let children touch and explore nature items or look at pictures. As they do, say, “God made the leaves! God made the stars! God made me, too!”

Reinforce by saying, “God made the whole world, and He made you special!”

2. Fingerprint Creations (Craft Activity)

Objective: Celebrate God’s creativity and uniqueness.

Materials: Washable ink pads or paint, white paper, wet wipes.

Activity: Help children make fingerprint art—flowers, bugs, or a fingerprint self-portrait. Talk about how no one has the same fingerprints.

Reinforce by saying, “God made you one-of-a-kind!”

3. God Is Wise Song and March (Music Activity)

Objective: Learn about God’s wisdom and power joyfully.

Materials: Simple rhythm instruments (shakers, drums) or clapping hands.

Activity: March around the room singing to the tune of The Farmer in the Dell:

“God made the world so big, God made the world so big,
He made the stars and made the seas, God made the world so big!”

Reinforce by saying, “God is so wise—He made everything!”

4. Helper Match Game (Movement Activity)

Objective: Recognize that God helps and gives wisdom.

Materials: Picture cards of people who help (doctor, teacher, parent, firefighter, etc.).
