Luke 15:11-24 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. And the word gospel means “good news!” We begin with Jesus teaching something very important.  One day, Jesus told some people a story about a dad and his son. The dad had saved a lot of money to give to his son when the son was MUCH older.  But, one day the son asked his dad to give him all the money right NOW. And the dad gave it to him. What do you think the son did? The son left. He took the money and went far away from home. The son took his dad’s money and spent it on EVERYTHING! He bought fancy clothes. He ate really fancy food. The son spent money with all of his friends and then . . .  . . . whoops! The money was ALL GONE. There was NO MORE money. The son didn’t know what to do.  He didn’t have a bed to sleep in or any food to eat. He was so hungry he even thought about eating pig food! Eew! The son was really...

Acts 2:45; Luke 12:16-23 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Acts, which is short for “the Acts of the Apostles.” An apostle is someone who is sent to teach others about Jesus. Our true story also comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. And the word gospel means “good news!” Our true story from the Bible is an important story that Jesus told.  We being with a farmer. This farmer grew a lot of good food. Like a LOT of food. And the farmer needed a place to put all that food. Where do you think the farmer put his food? Yes! The farmer needed to put all the food into the barn, but the farmer had so much food that it filled up his barn. And there was still more food!  What should the farmer do with all the extra food? He had an idea! He would build a BIGGER barn! The farmer could fill it up and keep ALL the food for himself. It would be WAY more food than he needed, but he wanted to ...

Matthew 6:25-34 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew loved Jesus and told people about Him. That means Jesus was his teacher. And the word "Gospel" means "good news!"   One day, Jesus sat down on the ground with His disciples and began teaching them important things. Jesus said, “Look at the birds.” I love to watch birds in my yard. When I look in my yard, I see blue birds and red birds and black birds! So many beautiful birds! Jesus taught His disciples that God takes care of the birds. Think about it. Do birds have refrigerators in their trees? No! And do birds go to the grocery store? No! And do birds order a kid’s meal in the drive-thru? No! Jesus taught that God takes care of the birds! They don’t have to plant a garden. God made trees and bushes that give them food. Next, Jesus told His disciples to look at the flowers.  Flowers are so pretty.  God made flowers with the most beautiful colors.  There are blue and...

Mark 6:30-34 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Mark. Mark loved Jesus and told people about Him so that they could know Jesus, too. And the word gospel means “good news!” We begin on a beach. Jesus and His friends, the disciples, had been working very hard so they went to a beach so they could rest and pray.  While they were there, people came from far away to see Jesus. Some people were so excited to see Jesus they even RAN to get there. The people were so excited to see Jesus! More and more people came to see Jesus. When Jesus saw the people, He loved them and wanted to help them. So, Jesus began teaching them.  The people were so happy to be with Jesus that they stayed for a long time. They stayed to listen to Jesus teach important things all through the day and into the night. People went to see Jesus and He taught them important things. Jesus teaches YOU important things too. When we read the Bible, we can learn so many important things fr...
