Genesis 24:15-20 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called Genesis. The word genesis means “the beginning.” Our true story starts with a well! A well is a deep hole in the ground where people can go get water. When we want water, we go to the sink and turn on the faucet! But back in Bible times, people had to walk all the way to the well, lower a bucket into the well, fill it with water, and pull the heavy bucket back up. That’s what a girl named Rebekah did. One evening, Rebekah went to a well for water. When she got there, she saw a man at the well with ten camels. The man asked Rebekah if she would share her water with him. Rebekah was happy to help. This is the sign for “help.” Make the ASL sign for help. With your dominant hand, make a fist with your thumb up. Place that fist on the palm of your other hand and raise both hands together.
