 Luke 7:36-50 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. And the word gospel means “good news!” We begin with a special dinner. This special dinner was for Jesus. As Jesus and the people ate and talked, a woman who was not invited, walked in carrying a bottle of perfume. Well, the woman sat down near Jesus’ feet and she started to cry. The woman cried because Jesus had forgiven her for making bad choices. She knew Jesus loved her, no matter what! The woman was so thankful Jesus loved her that she wanted to do something special for Him. So, she washed His feet. The woman washed Jesus’ feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. Remember that perfume she brought? She poured the perfume on Jesus’ feet!  The people at the party thought Jesus should stay away from her. “You don’t know what she’s done,” they said.  Do you think Jesus agreed with them? No way! Matthew 8:5-13 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Matthew. Matthew was a disciple of Jesus. That means Jesus was his teacher. And the word gospel means “good news!” Our story is about a special kind of soldier called a Centurion. Centurions were leaders in the army. They were big and important! Their soldiers listened to them.  But the Centurion in our Bible story believed that Jesus was even MORE important. And THIS Centurion needed Jesus’ help. So, the Centurion went to Jesus and said, “Jesus, my servant is at home, and he is very, very sick. Please, I need your help to make him better.” Now remember, Jesus was busy, and He was on His way to do important work. But do you think that stopped Jesus from helping the Centurion? No way!  Jesus said, “Do you want me to come to your house and make him better?” Jesus was willing to go all the way to the Centurion’s house to heal his servant. Luke 10:38-42 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. And the word gospel means “good news!” We begin at a house where two sisters lived. Their names were Mary and Martha. Mary and Martha were friends with Jesus. One day, they heard Jesus was coming to visit them at their house. They were SO excited. Do you like to have friends over at your house? What do you like to play? Do you like to color with your friends? Do you like to eat snacks with your friends? Do you like to play outside with your friends? It’s so great to spend time with friends!  As soon as Jesus got to Mary and Martha’s house, Mary sat right down at his feet. Mary wanted to hear everything Jesus had to say. Her friend, Jesus, was here, at HER house, and she didn’t want to miss anything! But Martha, well, she had things to do. Martha was cooking. She wanted there to be yummy food for her guest. And she was also cleaning. ...

Luke 18:15-16 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. And the word gospel means “good news!” We begin with Jesus and a big crowd of people who had come to hear Him teach. In this crowd, there were some very important people.  It seemed like everyone wanted to hear what Jesus had to say. There were moms and dads, and aunts and uncles. There were teachers . . . and doctors . . .and carpenters . . . and fishermen. Can you guess who the very important people were in that crowd to hear Jesus? The very important people who were there to see Jesus that day were children. The children in the crowd that day wanted to see Jesus, too! But Jesus’ disciples stopped them! "No, no, no," they said. The disciples told the children to stop and go away. Do you think JESUS wanted the little children to go away? NO way! Jesus called the children to Him and said, “Let the little children come to me.”...

John 9:1-12 Our true story is found in at part of the Bible called the Gospel of John. John was one of the friends and helpers of Jesus. And the word "Gospel" means "good news!"  One day, Jesus and His friends were walking along a road.    Jesus noticed something, and He stopped. Do you know what Jesus saw? Jesus saw a man who was blind. That means that his eyes couldn’t see. If you closed your eyes for a minute, what could you see? Nothing. You could not see anyone and you could not tell if it was sunny or dark outside.   When Jesus saw the man who was blind, He did something really amazing Jesus spit on the ground. And He turned the dirt into mud. Yes, mud! Then, Jesus took the mud and put it on the man’s eyes.     Then, Jesus told the man to go wash his face in the water. The man did what Jesus said. He went and washed off the mud with water, and guess what? The man could see!      The man was so amazed. Why? Because Jesus is amazing! WATC...

 Luke 5:1-10 Our true story comes from a part of the Bible called the Gospel of Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. And the word gospel means “good news!” We begin with a group of fishermen. They’d been fishing all night long. Fishing for hours and hours. How many fish do you think they caught after all that fishing? A hundred fish? Two hundred fish? Nope, they caught ZERO fish. Not one. They tried all night but came back without any fish. So sad. So, they brought their boats back to the shore and started cleaning their nets. Just then, Jesus came to the shore. And a crowd of people followed him. They wanted to hear Jesus’ amazing teaching about how much God loves them. But there were so many people, and they kept getting closer and closer and closer. Soon Jesus had no room to stand on the sand, so He asked Peter the fisherman if He could use his boat. Jesus got into the boat, and He taught the people about God. And the word gospel means “good news!” Our true Bible story is about someone who has the most amazing out-of-this-world power. What kind of power do you have? Do you think you could stop the sun from shining in the sky? Try. Yell, "Stop, sun, stop!" Did you stop the sun? No. You don't have the power to stop the sun.  Do you have the power to make it rain? Try. Yell, "Rain!" Did it rain? No. Do you have the power to make it rain? No. You don't have the power. But, there is someone amazing who does! Do you know who it is? Jesus!
