Image
Matthew 2:1-2, 9-11 Our story comes from the Bible. It is found in the book, or part, of the Bible called Matthew. Matthew was one of the special helpers of Jesus. Our Bible story is about a star. But not just any star—this star was very special. The special star that God made was different than all the other stars. It was very, very, VERY special. And God made it to point to someone very, very, VERY important. One night, far away, some wise men saw the special star God made in the sky, and they knew they should follow it. The wise men followed and followed and followed the special star. The star stopped over a house. So the wise men stopped and went to the house. God used the special star to show the wise men where to find Jesus! When they saw Him, they knew He was the one God sent to show how much He loves everyone. The wise men bowed down and worshiped Jesus and gave Him their very best gifts. The wise men celebrated that God gave us Jesus. We know God loves...

Mary and Joseph had to travel all the way from Nazareth to Bethlehem, and that’s where the special baby was born. There were some shepherds out in a field taking care of a certain kind of animal. Do you think the shepherds were taking care of elephants? No. Do you think the shepherds were taking care of penguins? No. What were the shepherds watching in the fields? Luke 2:1-7 Our true story comes from the Bible. It is in the part, or book, of the Bible called Luke. Luke loved Jesus and wanted others to know and love Jesus, too. God sent an angel to a town called Nazareth, to tell a young woman named Mary that she was going to have a special baby. Mary would have a baby boy and His name would be Jesus. But Mary and Joseph needed to travel from Nazareth, all the way to a town called Bethlehem to be counted. This was because of a new law made by Roman Emperor Caesar August. Emperor is another word for king. It would be very hard for Mary to walk all the way to Bethlehem, especially since she was going to have a baby. Do you think Mary rode in a car all the way to Bethlehem? No, they didn't have cars. Do you think Mary rode in an airplane? No, they didn't have airplanes. Do you think Mary rode on a donkey all the way to Bethlehem? Yes, she probably rode a donkey! When Mary and Joseph got to Bethlehem, they needed to find a...

These men were sick with something called leprosy. They had spots all over their bodies. A long time ago when people had leprosy they would have to leave the town and their families and live by themselves so they wouldn’t get anyone else sick. The Israelites Were Thankful

Image
Exodus 16 Our true Bible story comes from a book, or part, of the Bible called Exodus. The word “exodus” means to leave or go away from. Our story starts in a desert. Deserts are super hot and sandy and you get really sweaty. The Israelites found themselves in the desert. And they weren’t exactly happy. In fact, they were super hot and super sweaty. Not only that, but the Israelites were also hungry. So hungry! God saw that His people were hungry. And so, through their leader Moses, God told the people that He would rain down bread for them from heaven and when they woke up, they could eat it. So that night while everyone was sleeping God made it rain bread! Isn't that so cool? God made bread come down from the sky! When the people woke up, they were so excited. "God gave us food today. Thank You, God!" They were so thankful. But soon the people didn’t look thankful at all. You know what they were? They were worried. What if they didn’t...
